Valérie Martin, M. Sc.

Valerie is a Ph. D. student in psychoeducation. She has a M. Sc. in Heath technology assessment (HTA) and management and a B. Sc. in political science from the University of Montreal, and a M. Sc. in management from HEC Montreal. She worked at the National Institute of excellence in health and social services (INESSS) from 2005 to 2013 and, at the Ste-Justine University Hospital. She has received honors throughout her studies and has won the Roland-Parenteau award for her article in the Canadian Public Administration Journal. She holds a doctoral scholarship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec-Société et culture (FRQSC). She returned to academia hoping to contribute to improving the quality of life of her son and of all people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.

Thesis title: Effects of a workforce integration program on individuals with autism spectrum disorders

Research Interests: Autism spectrum disorder, employment, management, vocational integration
